Ongoing Activities

Stemmers Run Rifle and Pistol Club attempts to provide shooting and social activities that promote member involvement.

  • Rifle - We sponsor service rifle teams that compete in local and national NRA and CMP matches.
  • Pistol - We hold periodic competitive bowling pin matches for all caliber handguns

    Pin Matches are scheduled for the following dates in 2025:

  • Shotgun - SRRPC club trap is typically held April through October at 4:30 pm, before each club meeting.
    • 2025 SRRPC Club Trap
    Club trap is held 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm before the monthly meeting. An announcement will be made closer to each meeting date to confirm that club trap is being held or if additional shoots will be scheduled.

    AGC Public Trap
    Check the AGC Calendar for Public Trap, typically held on Wednesday nights and weekend afternoons. You are not required to hold an AGC badge to participate in this event. There is a cost for shooting public trap.
  • Juniors Program - Youth ages 10 - 21 can participate in individualized firearms safety and marksmanship training, as well as train for smallbore and air rifle competitions.
  • Training - We offer training for the MD Handgun Qualification License (HQL) and the Hunter Safety Course. Training courses, using NRA certified instructors, are also available for rifle, pistol, and shotgun as well as seminars on safe use, cleaning, and storage of firearms.

  • Social - We hold periodic club picnics combined with shooting events. We have an annual holiday party in lue of our December meeting.
